Seasiders are lucky to pick up a new JC transfer, who will be adding great value to their Roster. We are very excited to have DeAndre Medlock join the BYU-HAWAII Basketball team.
Laie, HI—The Brigham Young University Hawaii men’s basketball team has signed 6-10 forward DeAndre Medlock of Fresno, California and Clovis West High School. Medlock also played briefly for UC-Davis in the 2009-10 season and played this last season for Fresno City College.
Medlock averaged 13 points and seven rebounds per game for Fresno City and was named All-Conference this past season as he helped Fresno City win the California State Junior College Championship. He also took 35 charges for the season.
Medlock graduated from Clovis West in 2009 and was named a City/County All-Star. As a junior he led his team to the conference championship. He was also a McDonald’s All-American Nominee in high school.
BYU-Hawaii Head Coach Ken Wagner says he is excited to have DeAndre join the BYU-Hawaii program. “He’s knows how to win,” says Wagner. “He’s athletic and can control the game with his rebounding and his defense. We’re really happy to sign him.”
